Guide: Setting up Automotive Services
Step 1: Accessing Automotive Services
Log in to your TireConnect account and open the Dealers section.
Locate the specific dealer you want to manage.
Click the Actions menu on the far right of the dealer's row.
Select Automotive Services from the dropdown menu.
Step 2: Adding and Managing Services
Click the blue New button (located above or below the list of services) to add a new service.
Enter a clear Service Name and an optional description so it’s easy for customers to understand.
Set the approximate Labor Time to help standardize your quotes and scheduling.
Assign the service to the correct Category so it appears in the right section for shoppers.
Pick your Pricing Method for labor:
Range: Use this when labor costs vary by vehicle or condition.
Fixed: Use this to show customers a single, straightforward price.
Click Save and back to lock in the service details and return to your main list.
Organize: Drag the order handle next to any service to control how they appear to customers. Once you are happy with the order, click Save sort order.
Step 3: Setting Up Categories
Navigate to the Categories tab to manage the groups that organize your service menu.
Click New to create a fresh category, or edit an existing one.
Configure your category behaviors using the available toggles:
Allow multiple selection: Turn this on if customers should be able to pick more than one service option.
Always opened: Keeps the category expanded for faster browsing.
Opened by default: Highlights this category as soon as the page loads.
Required: Makes sure customers don’t skip this step.
Custom service option: Allows customers to describe a need that isn't listed.
Choose an Icon to make the category instantly recognizable in the widget.
Add a Description to clarify what’s included.
Return to the category list to review your setup (categories can also be dragged into a specific order).
Step 4: Configuring the Diagnostics Module
Switch to the Diagnostics Module tab.
Choose which category the "customer vehicle inquiry" form should apply to.
Note: This form defaults to a category like "Tell us the symptoms," but you can map it to another category if you prefer.
Step 5: Location-Specific Automotive Settings
Select Automotive Settings to access customization options for your service locations.
Click on a specific location to tailor its display options. If you have multiple locations, each one can be configured differently.
Adjust the booking settings for that location:
Wait or Drop Off: Enable or disable this prompt based on your shop's workflow.
Towing Option: Toggle this on or off to keep the booking journey relevant.
Ready Time: Toggle this on to let customers select when they'd like their vehicle finished.
Advance Booking: Select how many days in advance customers can book appointments.
Scheduling: Fine-tune available hours and decide whether to show installation time options.
