Use Case

Widget is live at https://gillspointstire.com/shop-tires

They are not currently using the in-store widget at the stores level. They use a call center for order processing / follow up for TireConnect.

Adding Locations

Requests will come in as tickets to support@tireconnect.ca. FreedomSoft (they might call it Traction) is their POS they use for all dealers except Michigan and Northeast: Maine. You should confirm they want it connected if they do not mention it. External suppliers will vary and they will provide on location by location basis.

Remember to set "Products Available in (days)" when adding new supplier connections. 


We will eventually be consolidating credentials and key information for adding locations here (https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1r4hjsIxKlH-Du3DwCScdyINfKWVEW7TDSrLj-Qrlgvc/edit?usp=sharing), but for the moment please gather everything you need directly from whoever reaches out.

As of 12/16/2024, we have been setting each store's WPSL (WordsPress Store Locator) ID as the location External ID. This allows the web dev to map the store selected within the Gill's website to the location within the widget.

Notify Billing in the tick once the location goes live for them to update the Gill's monthly invoice. 


Pricing

Dealers are organized into regional groupings. Each has its own Retail Price list and share a Wholesale Cost Price List. Gills sends all of these in one Excel file, one column for each. They put the Dealer ID as the header for each column.

They do not use any "Cost Up" mark-ups rules in their profile, the displayed pricing is 100% dependent on their lists + any MAP exceptions there might be. Their wholesale price list is only used so they can see costs in the in-store tool
