Guide: Setting up Wheel Pricing
Step 1: Access the Wheel Pricing Section
Log into your TireConnect Admin Portal.
Navigate to the Wheels tab in the main navigation menu.
Select Pricing from the sub-menu.
Step 2: Create a New Pricing Strategy
Click the "New" button in the top right corner to start a new strategy.
Strategy Label: Give your strategy a descriptive name (e.g., "Standard Wheel Markup" or "Holiday Promo").
Supplier Selection: By default, "All Suppliers" is toggled on. If you want this pricing to only apply to specific vendors, toggle this off and select your preferred suppliers from the list.
Step 3: Define the Pricing Matrix (Markup)
In the "Price" section, you will set your profit margins based on the cost of the wheels:
Cost Range: Enter a Low Price and High Price (e.g., $0 to $100).
Amount Type: Choose whether you want to mark up by a Percent (%) or a Fixed Dollar ($) amount.
Value: Enter the markup value (e.g., 20 for 20%).
Min/Max (Optional): If using a percentage, you can set a minimum or maximum dollar cap to ensure you don't over-price high-end wheels or under-price cheap ones.
Add Rows: Click the "+" icon to add more ranges (e.g., a different markup for wheels costing $101–$300).
Step 4: Apply Filters (Optional)
If you want this pricing to only apply to specific types of wheels, use the Filters section:
Rim Size: Apply markup only to specific sizes (e.g., 18" and above).
Finish/Category: Filter by specific wheel finishes or styles.
Step 5: Target Specific Brands or Models
If you have special pricing for specific brands:
Use the Wheel Selector section.
Search for and select specific Brands or Models. This allows you to override general pricing for premium brands like Vossen or Fuel.
Step 6: Save and Review
Once you have configured your matrix and filters, click Save.
Your new strategy will now appear in the Pricing list. You can toggle strategies On/Off or drag and drop them to change their Priority (the strategy at the top of the list takes precedence).
Step 7: Configure Services (Additional Fees)
If you need to add installation or balancing fees:
Go to the Tire and Wheel Services section.
Click New to add fees like "Wheel Mounting" or "TPMS Reset."
Link these services to your wheel sales so they are automatically added to the customer's quote.
